CHIEF MINISTER'S OFFICE Press Release 20-04-2013 CM for East Godavari, Mahabubnagar districts on 21st, 22nd April : Indiramma Kalalu, Amma Hastham HYDERABAD: The Chief Minister Mr N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who has taken up a State-wide awareness programme of the SC-ST sub plan, as part of his 'Indiramma Kalalu' programme, has already toured West Godavari, Khammam, Adilabad, Guntur, Prakasam, Anantapur, YSR, Chittoor, Nellore and Visakhapatnam and other districts. He has also taken up launching of 'Amma Hastham', distributed assets, laid foundation stones and inaugurated many schemes and addressed public meetings. It may be stated here that the Chief Minister has already undertaken the 'Indiramma Kalalu' prgramme to create awareness among the people on the benefits of SC-ST sub plan. It may be recalled here that after launching the Indiramma Kalalu programme at Jangareddygudem in West Godavari district theChief Minister announced free power to 17.6 lakh consumers residing in SC-ST colonies in the State up to 50 units. The Chief Minister announced that the government would reimburse the bills of those SC-STs who use less than 50 units per month. Mr. Kiran Kumar also announced complete waiver of electricity dues amounting to Rs.280 crore and said that the government is ready to reimburse to the Discoms Rs.110 crore power bills payable by SC and ST colonies. There are 1,500 recognised SC and ST habitations spread across 22 districts and as per 2011 estimates, there are 17.6 lakh power consumers belonging to these communities in the State. The Chief Minister also launched the unique 'Amma Hastham' scheme on Ugadi day at Ravindra Bharathi. Under the scheme, 2.25 crs white card holders in the state are being provided 9 essential commodities in one package for just Rs.185/- every month. This benefits about 7.5 crs people. The total cost of these items is Rs.292/- which are being provided for Rs.185/- and each family are benefitted Rs.107/ per month. CM's tour programme on 21st, 22nd April Meanwhile, continuing his Indiraramma Kalalu tour, the Chief Minister will reach Gannavaram Airport from Hyderabad by regular flight at 4.35 pm on Sunday, 21-04-2013. He will arrive at Madhurapudi Airport by helicopter at 5.15 pm and Post Matric Hostel STs (Boys) near Govt. Arts College, Rajahmundry at 5.40 pm and inaugurate Post Matric hostel for ST (Boys) and unveil plaque inaugurate Post Matric Hostel for ST (Girls). The Chief Minister will reach the meeting place at Govt. Arts College, Rajahmundry and address a public meeting on 'Indiramma Kalalu' at 5.50 pm. He will reach R&B Guest House, Rajahmundry at 8.40 pm and will have night halt there. On Monday, 22-04-2013, the Chief Minister will reach residence of Sri Harsh Kumar, MP, Amalapuram, Airport Road, Rajahmundry at 9.30 am and return to Hyderabad by regular flight from Madhurapudi Airport to reach Camp Residence at 12.30 pm. The Chief Minister will later reach the helipad, DTC, Jadcherla, Mahabubnagar District from Begumpet Airport at 4 pm on Monday, 22-04-2013. He will inaugurate Jadcherla water scheme and Indiramma Assurances (water facility and roads to all Tandas in Jadcherla) at 4.15 pm. He will reach the public meeting venue, Degree College, Jadcherla at 4.35 pm garlanding statues en route. He will launch Rythu Chaitanya Yatra, interact with farmers, distribute assets etc and address a public meeting on Amma Hastham and Indiramma Kalalu. The Chief Minister will return to Hyderabad and reach Camp Residence at 6.45 pm. ----------
